A Pastor’s Conscience Called to Account In the Daystar Matter

Now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.
–1 Corinthians 5:11 (NIV)–

Come out from them and be separate,
says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing,
    and I will receive you.

–2 Corinthians 6:17 (NIV)–

Looking intently at the council, Paul said,
“Brothers, I have lived my life before God

in all good conscience up to this day.”
–Acts 23:1 (ESV)–

Holding faith and a good conscience.
By rejecting this, some have made shipwreck of their faith.

–1 Timothy 1:19 (ESV)–

You shall take no bribe,
for a bribe blinds the discerning
and perverts the words of the righteous.

–Exodus 23:8 (NKJV)–

There seems to be a death curse on Daystar. It’s just a theory I have:

1. Marcus Lamb confessed to adultery – November 30, 2010.

2. John Paul Jackson, a seasoned leader, goes on “Joni Table Talk” in 2013.

3. John Paul Jackson dies from cancer – February 18, 2015.

4. Marcus Lamb dies from COVID on same date as confession – November 30, 2021.

Because you did not trust in me enough to honor me as holy in the sight of the Israelites, you will not bring this community into the land I give them. –Numbers 20:12 (NIV)

When Good Bible Dads Become Pastors

Fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath,
but bring them up in the training and admonition of the Lord.

–Ephesians 6:4 (NKJV)–

Though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ,
yet you do not have many fathers;
for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the Gospel.

–1 Corinthians 4:15 (NKJV)–

And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.
–Deuteronomy 6:6-7 NKJV)–

1  Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap.
–1 Timothy 3:1-7 (NIV)–

Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as his children. For what children are not disciplined by their father? If you are not disciplined—and everyone undergoes discipline—then you are not legitimate, not true sons and daughters at all.
–Hebrews 12:7-8 (NIV)–

Do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’
for you have one Father, and he is in heaven.

Thoughts About Casting Out Demons: Re: AC

Resist the devil and he will flee from you.
–James 4:7 (NIV)–

25 When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the impure spirit. “You deaf and mute spirit,” he said, “I command you, come out of him and never enter him again.” 26 The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, “He’s dead.” 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up. 28 After Jesus had gone indoors, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” 29 He replied, “This kind can come out only by PRAYER.”
–Mark 9:25-29 (NIV)–

These signs will accompany those who believe:
In MY NAME they will drive out demons;
they will speak in new tongues.

–Mark 16:17 (NIV)–

Whenever the spirit from God came on Saul, David would TAKE UP HIS LYRE AND PLAY. Then relief would come to Saul; he would feel better, and THE EVIL SPIRIT WOULD LEAVE HIM.
