In the City of Dreams
I was whisked away
To a variety
Of spiritual sights
At first the arrogant teacher
A Catholic high school
Bullying down high and mighty
To the country bumpkin
Then comes Mr. UFC Fighter
I beat him once before
He always says I wanna fight you
Don’t worship the ground he walks on
Then there’s the estranged family
Living in a depressed flat
In the midst of a place
Like a city dump
Constant construction
Or was it destruction
Of the buildings all around me
Dumpsters and rubble
Two little girls
With a pregnancy test
To find out that they’ll have a baby
As lesbian twelve year olds
One cried because they
They went against the culture
And I said I won’t affirm you
So get right with God
Fornicators all over the place
One bikini clothed man
With both breasts and a beard
Drove around in his open-top car
Somehow, someway
The conservatives of culture
Had the ladies hold parties
And they sang songs to preserve things
The City of Dreams In the Realm of the Spirit
