His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant,
they are all DUMB DOGS, they CANNOT BARK.
–Isaiah 56:10 (KJV)–
CRY ALOUD, spare not,
LIFT UP THY VOICE LIKE A TRUMPET
and shew my people their TRANSGRESSION,
and the house of Jacob their SINS.
–Isaiah 58:1 (KJV)–
Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city,
and CRY AGAINST IT;
for their wickedness is come up before me.
–Jonah 1:2 (KJV)–
To whom shall I speak, and GIVE WARNING, that they may hear? behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they cannot hearken: behold, the word of the Lord is unto them a reproach; they have no delight in it. Therefore I AM FULL OF THE FURY OF THE LORD; I AM WEARY WITH HOLDING IN: I will pour it out upon the children abroad, and upon the assembly of young men together.
–Jeremiah 6:10-11 (KJV)–
2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for THEIR WATCHMAN: 3 If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he BLOW THE TRUMPET, AND WARN THE PEOPLE; 4 Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But HE THAT TAKETH WARNING SHALL DELIVER HIS SOUL. 6 BUT IF THE WATCHMAN see the sword come, and BLOW NOT THE TRUMPET, AND THE PEOPLE BE NOT WARNED; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, HE IS TAKEN AWAY IN HIS INIQUITY; but HIS BLOOD WILL I REQUIRE AT THE WATCHMAN’S HAND. 7 So THOU, O SON OF MAN, I HAVE SET THEE A WATCHMAN UNTO THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL; THEREFORE THOU SHALT HEAR THE WORD AT MY MOUTH, AND WARN THEM FROM ME. 8 When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; IF THOU DOST NOT SPEAK TO WARN THE WICKED FROM HIS WAY, THAT WICKED MAN SHALL DIE IN HIS INIQUITY; BUT HIS BLOOD WILL I REQUIRE AT THINE HAND. 9 Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.
–Ezekiel 33:2-9 (KJV)–
GRIEVE NOT THE HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD,
whereby ye are sealed.
–Ephesians 4:30 (KJV)–
While Paul was waiting for them at Athens,
his spirit was GREATLY ANGERED WHEN HE SAW
that the city was FULL OF IDOLS.
–Acts 17:16 (AMP)–
You BROOD of VIPERS!
Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?
–John the Baptist in Matthew 3:7 (NIV)–
YOU STIFF-NECKED PEOPLE!
Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised.
You are just like your ancestors:
You ALWAYS resist the Holy Spirit!
–Stephen in Acts 7:51 (NIV)–
May your money PERISH with you,
because you thought you could
buy the gift of God with money!
–Peter in Acts 8:20 (NIV)–
You are a CHILD of the DEVIL
and an enemy of everything that is right!
–Paul in Acts 13:10 (NIV)–
Because you are lukewarm,
and neither cold nor hot,
I will VOMIT YOU out of My mouth!
–Jesus Christ in Revelation 3:16 (NKJV)–
—
There is anger which is not sinful; for anger is found in God himself, in Jesus Christ, in the holy angels, and in God’s people; and a man may be said to be angry and not sin, when his anger arises from a true zeal for God…when a man is displeased with…all false doctrine.
–John Gill on Ephesians 4:26–
I preached so hard against sin
that some pastors of the city criticized me severely.

In another city known to me, good pastors got together to have a “revival campaign.” But so there would be no HARD PREACHING AGAINST SIN, no issue raised about movies, dances, lodges and other worldliness, they asked a good pastor to lead in the “revival campaign.” He preached good sermons. But he did not take the time for preparation of Christians, preaching against sin, getting them to pray and win souls, as Moody and Torrey and Billy Sunday and other blessed evangelists have always done. He simply preached sermons to the unsaved, good, sound sermons on the blood of Christ. But not many unsaved attended the services, there was a notable lack of real conviction, and pastors were disappointed because there was no genuine revival. There are a lot of good preachers, sound preachers, devoted preachers who are not evangelists. They are not called to be evangelists, not anointed to be evangelists.
