The Antichrist, the Rapture, and the Return of Christ

Immediately AFTER THE TRIBULATION of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of Man COMING in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall GATHER together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. –Matthew 24:29-31 (KJV)

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the COMING of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our GATHERING together unto him, that ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away FIRST, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. –2 Thessalonians 2:1-4 (KJV)

George Eldon Ladd, The Blessed Hope (Eerdmans, 1956). Shows that the early church fathers taught a post-tribulation rapture view. The Antichrist was the first aspect to be expected in the end-time scheme, not a sudden rapture. Irenaeus and especially Hippolytus wrote quite a bit about the Antichrist in their post-tribulation eschatologies.

The Universal Gospel Debunked: A Wesleyan Response to John Crowder

David Bercot, A Dictionary of Early Christian Beliefs, pp. 242ff.

He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. –Revelation 22:11-12 (KJV)

Evolution or the Bible–Which? – Dr. John R. Rice

46:30 – Correction: instead of saying “genus,” I probably should have said “kingdom,” as in the Animal Kingdom and its different “classes” of animals. This is what you have in Genesis 1.

Supernatural Theology 151: The Spiritual Pollution of Prophetic Gifts

Witch of Endor by Nikolai Ge, 1857.

THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS IS THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY.  –Revelation 19:10 (KJV)

The Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils. –1 Timothy 4:1 (KJV)

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.   –Matthew 10:32-33 (KJV)

Every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.   –1 John 4:3 (KJV)

I believe that the New Apostolic Reformation, or charismatics involved in dream interpretation, prophetic ministry, healing, and deliverance, desperately need to be balanced out by the likes of:

1. ZONDERVAN ACADEMIC. Mainly influenced by Southern Baptist theology.

2. BANNER OF TRUTH. Leonard Ravenhill’s favorite publisher. Calvinist.

3. SCHMUL PUBLISHING. Wesleyan.

4. REFORMATION HERITAGE BOOKS. Calvinist.

Kathryn Krick: Questionable Healing Evangelist

CLICK THE WESLEYGOSPEL THUMBNAIL ABOVE TO BE TAKEN TO A YOUTUBE DOCUMENTARY.

In addition to her having no statement of faith on her ministry website, she also recently preached a “sermon” against the doctrines of repentance and eternal punishment, in favor of an anti-intellectual healing evangelism message based on 1 Corinthians 2:4-5, about people getting saved by just receiving healing touches from the woman of God. Sounds like just another self-centered, cultlike, Scripture-twisting maneuver to me. Keep her in your prayers; and her followers. So fake! She reminds me of Sister Sharon Falconer from Elmer Gantry. Stay away from her dude! The documentary above shows that she posted a “reel” on Vimeo about 9 years ago, an audition tape, of her in the role of a porn star for a sitcom. If there is such a thing as the Jezebel spirit, well? Names of preachers that have endorsed her books: John Ramirez, Charlie Shamp, Kim Jones, Erica Campbell, Shawn Bolz, and Guillermo Maldonado.   –J.B.

Falling Away to the Antichrist – David Wilkerson

Once all free tribes
Chained down led lives
Blood boils inside me
We’re not slaves, we’re free

Face, the enemy
Stare, inside you
Control, your thoughts
Destroy, destroy ’em all
