BETHEL CHURCH DETOX

At that time I could not find a single Christian leader who shared a similar interest in finding out if there were truths hidden in the New Age. Now we are beginning to hear more and more REVELATION THAT IS IN LINE WITH WHAT NEW AGERS HAVE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG and we are hearing more and more teaching about CHRISTIANS “TAKING BACK TRUTHS” FROM THE NEW AGE that really belong to citizens of the Kingdom of God…It wasn’t that I wanted to become a New Ager, I just wanted to find out if maybe they had uncovered some truths the church hadn’t.

Beni Johnson soaking up the “anointing” from the grave of C. S. Lewis–a Christian universalist writer–and hugging the grave of Charles Finney to get his “anointing” too. The last one didn’t work though, because Bethel Church hates hellfire and repentance sermons.
Apparently this book teaches against contemplative prayer. I wouldn’t agree with what’s been called “centering prayer”, which is a universalist form of it, but traditional Teresian contemplative prayer is Biblical and prophetic, and I would still support that type.
