We identify with the Twenty-Five Articles of Religion that were drawn up by John Wesley in 1784. However, we also believe in the Pentecostal developments, that have happened within the Wesleyan tradition in the past century, and so we’d also agree with the statement of faith by Assemblies of God. Although we’re continuationists that believe in experiencing the gifts of the Spirit: we do not identify with the teachings of the New Apostolic Reformation. –J.B.
My current bibliography on Reformed charismatic teaching. While I think its wrong to exalt personal experience above the Bible: I think its equally bad to resist the whole concept of receiving the gifts of the Spirit in 1 Corinthians 12-14. –J.B.
