and eagerly desire gifts of the Spirit,
especially prophecy.
–1 Corinthians 14:1 (NIV)–
Today, if you hear his voice,
do not harden your hearts.
–Hebrews 3:15 (NIV)–
In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
–Acts 2:17 (NIV)–
Daniel had a dream,
and visions passed through his mind
as he was lying in bed.
He wrote down the substance of his dream.
–Daniel 7:1 (NIV)–
Do not quench the Spirit.
Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all;
hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil.
–1 Thessalonians 5:19-22 (NIV)–
But if an unbeliever or an inquirer comes in while everyone is prophesying, they are convicted of sin and are brought under judgment by all, as the secrets of their hearts are laid bare. So they will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, “God is really among you!”
–1 Corinthians 14:24-25 (NIV)–
