Supernatural Theology 139: Dr. Jack Deere Says Miracles Aren’t Only for the Twelve Apostles

B. B. Warfield, Counterfeit Miracles, p. 6. As you can see, Warfield has absolutely no Biblical proof texts to support his outrageous claim that the only purpose of miracles was to authenticate the Twelve Apostles. Although he refers to 1 Corinthians 1:4-12, 28 in the note below, and especially 1:7, which says, “You do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed,” which implies that the miraculous gifts are included in the Church until the return of Christ. So it still stands that this Biblical passage is pointing at a completely different concept, instead of proving the notion that miracles were only meant to authenticate the ministries of the Twelve Apostles. Totally different topics are being considered here.
