Supernatural Theology 43: The Supernatural Call to Preach

Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature. –Mark 16:15

I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his Word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. –Jeremiah 20:9 (KJV)

We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard. –Acts 4:20 (NIV)

The righteous are bold as a lion. –Proverbs 28:1 (KJV)

When they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus. –Acts 4:13

Now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word…And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness. –Acts 4:29, 31

No one takes this honor for himself, but only when called by God. –Hebrews 5:4

Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers. –Ephesians 4:11

The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. –Romans 11:29

Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. –2 Timothy 4:2

Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations. –Jeremiah 1:5

Because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—I am about to spit you out of my mouth. –Revelation 3:16 (NIV)

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. –Romans 12:11 (NIV)

You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.   –John 8:44 (Jesus rebukes the lukewarm pastors of his times, the Pharisees)

Don’t we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other apostles and the Lord’s brothers and Cephas? –1 Corinthians 9:5 (NIV)

Rick Warren Exposed (Documentary).

The Martyrdom of Saint Timothy.
In his book The Purpose Driven Life and in his video series 40 Days of Purpose, he does not give a clear Gospel. As a matter of fact, the gospel that he does give is very weak, and very watered-down, and this is alarming to people: many of them who went through the series, who do not know Jesus Christ, and don’t know the true Gospel. –Gary Gilley, “Rick Warren Exposed (Documentary)” (10:33 – 10:52)
