Supernatural Theology 17: The Supernatural Worldview of the Bible

O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called. –1 Timothy 6:20 (KJV)

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. –Romans 12:2

See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition…and not according to Christ. –Colossians 2:8

That same day the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, came to him with a question…Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.”     –Matthew 22:23, 29

John Wimber, Power Evangelism, part 5: “Signs and Wonders and Worldviews.”

Charles Kraft, Christianity with Power – an entire book on the supernatural vs naturalist worldview (accepted by Wimber).

Reinhard Bonnke, Living a Life of Fire. (While Wimber helped to expose Westerners to the supernatural worldview, Bonnke lived it out as a Pentecostal healing evangelist in Africa with mass crusades. Coming from a German family who lived through World War II, Bonnke knew what it meant to have a dramatic shift over to the supernatural worldview, after he was baptized in the Holy Spirit and learned about miracle prayers from Rees Howells. Ravenhill considered Bonnke to be a modern day prophet. Wimber refers to him on page 232 of Power Evangelism).
